Susan,
We have had some experience with crimp tops on
exetainer type vials, in our case we needed quartz
exetainers. We had them made at
Technical Glass Products Inc.
Painesville OH 44077 USA
440-639-6399
They could make screw cap or serum crimp caps.
We had them make the crimp caps , but the rubber
stopper turned out to be tricky.
TGP had some trouble getting a exactly round hole
in the top, we originally used the Si red rubber stoppers
and crimp tops. We then tried the grey rubber tops that
come with the exetainers and found them to be superior
in holding vacuum and not leaking once filled with He.
If you need pyrex you should be able to get ACE glass
or any glass supplier to make them for you. We have
had luck getting Fischer or VWR to order them from
their glass supplier at reduced rates.
Good luck,
Bill
