Position Available - Carbonate Sedimentologist

The Department of Geosciences invites applications for a tenure-track
faculty appointment in Carbonate Sedimentology at the Assistant Professor
level to begin Fall 2003. We seek applicants who will strengthen our 3-D
Reservoir Characterization and/or Environmental Geosciences initiatives.
Applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D. at the time of appointment and to
have a strong commitment to building an externally funded research program
as well as excellence in teaching of undergraduate, M.S. and Ph.D. students.
This is one of several positions we anticipate filling over the next few
years due to impending retirements. The successful candidate will play an
important role in shaping the department during this transition.
