Dear Dr. Meijer,
Several years ago we got depleted uranium from British Nuclear Fuels, in
the U.K.
At the time their minimum order was 5 kgs. Spanish regulations allowed me
to store up to 1 kg only, so we paid for 5 kgs and got shipped just 1 kg.
Even thought, it was worthwhile.
If as you say you have all permits required, you should be in an easy
position to buy it from them. I might even consider to share costs with
you, and have part of your Uranium shipped to Spain in the future, when we
use ours up. Would you consider that? (one Kg has lasted us for thousands
of samples, and we still have more than half of it). Also, I know of other
labs in Spain interested in getting some depleted uranium for D/H work
(Antonio, do you want to comment?).
Cheers,
Clemente
