The Department of Biology at American University invites applications for a
TENURE TRACK POSITION at the Assistant Professor level to begin in the Fall
of 2003. A Ph.D. in Biogeochemistry or closely related field, an
established record or outstanding potential for research is required and
teaching experience is preferred. Responsibilities including teaching
environmental science courses for majors and non-majors and advanced courses
in biogeochemistry, developing a strong externally funded research program,
advising students, and providing university service. Submit a letter of
application, curriculum vitae, and statement of teaching philosophy and have
