We had the choice and opted for the Echo/Vascular Combo. We share the
beeper and since we have 3 techs, the 3rd tech floats to the busiest
department. The cardiologist read ALL the cardiac studies. Radiologists
read some carotids and the rest of the vascular studies are read by a
vascular surgeon. Since we do not do pediatrics, we do not have to deal
with the congenital anomalies found in younger cardiac pts. So far the
marriage is working out.
