I was led to understand that this forum was established to assist and better
inform individuals involved with noninvasive vascular technology. It is
unfortunate that by simply answering a question relating directly to an ICAVL
policy, I apparently left an organization, its founders, employees and
volunteers open to such uninformed ridicule. It would seem remiss in my
responsibilities to allow this to pass without response. Since beginning my
tenure with the ICAVL just over a year ago I have made it one of my goals to
focus on improving and expanding the communication between the ICAVL and this
professional community (of which I have been a part of for the last 14
years). These heightened goals being possible to achieve due only to the
foundation that has been established from many years of work put forth by
individuals that I hold in the highest esteem.
I do not feel that responding to future accreditation questions on FLOWNET
will best serve those individuals seeking informed response and would urge
any questions regarding accreditation be posed directly to the ICAVL so that
the most accurate answers can be conveyed. My email is
[log in to unmask] and I will be happy to reply.
Sincerely,
Cindy Weiland RVT, RRT
Director of Accreditation, ICAVL
