Subject: venous insufficiency
Our facility is starting to do "Venous Closure" procedures where catheters
are introduced into the Gr Saph. vein and the vein is contracted and
occluded using endovenous radiofrequency. The physician (surgeon) and the
sales person for the device contend that deep venous insufficiency is NOT a
contrindication for the procedure. Has anyone out there read any articles
that say that deep venous insufficiency is not a contraindication for venous
stripping/ligation,etc.???
