Many sonographers and vascular technologists were very disappointed at the
ICAVL board's decision to do this. Hopefully they will change their mind
especially if they see that you can take one exam and fail and take the
other and pass with honors. That does have a drastic effect on the quality
and credibility of what they are doing by accepting both credentials. Rumor
has it that quite a lot went on related to this Board meeting which was also
disappointing.
