An Important Message from your SGA......
Campus Safety Concerns
There has been an increase in awareness of campus safety lately, and the SGA
would like to reiterate a couple of safety tips to help you on and around
When in the dorms,
Please do not prop open the door, if you see a door propped, please unprop
it. This will help keep non-UVM affiliates out of the dorms.
Please lock your door when you leave your room and when you go bed. This
will reassure that you are entering a safe room and falling a sleep in a
safe room with no incident.
If you see someone suspicious in the halls or any suspicious activity, please
contact Police Services immediately. Your information is confidential and
by stepping up to the plate, you helping to create a safer living
environment for you and your peers.
When around campus,
Please do not walk alone late at night. If you feel unsafe, you can call
Police Services for an escort back to your residence. You can also call a
friend who has a car and can pick you up. This is a safety concern to
make sure that you make it to your room okay without incident.
