Hi Ho Folks - I too have enjoyed the snowfall and what it brings to my
Williston backyard. Today it was two Fox Sparrows and the first Purple Finch
(male) of the year. Have had a single White-throated Sparrow (brown head
stripes) for a week now. The Titmice have returned and loads of Juncos
jockey for position. The most interesting sight however was a pair of
Mourning Doves that I noticed as they cleaned "Finch Delight" (Agway
product) off my back deck. Both had white feathers. One had a totally white
tail feather
and the other had white wings and belly and white on the throat and up to
the eye. The eyes were dark not pink. The bird with white tail
feather had typical dark wing spots but the gray and white dove had no
spots. At first glance I thought it was just wading in deeper snow. I so
enjoy the show. Stay warm all. Linda McElvany - Williston
