Dear Joe Schwartz,
Got your two e-mails this morning, and as soon as I saw in the second
one, "Sorry. Typos in the first draft: THism one is better", I of course
lost no time deleting the first.
I'm reminded by your apology of an item that appeared years ago in the
New Yorker, one of those little "bottom of the page" nuggets for the delight
of the oh-so-clever-readers of that weekly. The gem consisted of an
advertisement by a software firm located in Brookline, Massachusetts seeking
to sell its new program (here I'm paraphrasing) "to automatically check
speling." The New Yorker comment: No sale.
Seriously though, I will try to respond to your query: "What does
everybody (who may be interested in pursuing the issue of ev psych) think?"
Your comments are, for me, quite valuable.
