A recent VPR commentary:

PowerPoint boredom

MIDDLEBURY, VT (2002-12-03)

Most people enjoy being read to, but recently commentator David Moats
experienced a moment when he did not.

Also, an article by Geoffrey Nunberg, senior researcher at the Center
for the Study of Language and Information at Stanford University, and
FreshAir Linguist.

The Trouble with PowerPoint, Fortune, December 20, 1999.

You've got to hand it to Scott McNealy--he never misses an opportunity
to try to stick it to Bill Gates. A couple of years ago the Sun
Microsystems CEO went so far as to try to ban the use of PowerPoint at
Sun, claiming that employees were wasting colossal amounts of time
using the Microsoft software to prepare slides.
