NERCOMP's User Services SIG is pleased to announce its upcoming
DEPLOYING & MAINTAINING MAC 0SX CLASSROOMS AND LABS
This one-day workshop will delve into the new world of Mac OSX
classroom and lab management. Speakers from area colleges and
universities will report on their OSX migrations, both completed
migrations and works-in-progress, with an emphasis on technical
specifics and practical demonstration and with plenty of time allowed
for discussion and questions. Topics will include cloning and imaging,
security and authentication issues, scripting workstation behavior for
lab and classroom environments, must-have tools, and an OS9 to OSX
migration road map. Workshop participants will be encouraged to make
contacts with colleagues who share similar concerns, and a mailing
list will be established for any interested participants.
This workshop is part of a 2-SIG day event. It will run simultaneously
with a workshop on "The Telecom Roller-Coaster."
