Underhill will be doing a complete reappraisal in 2004 for the 2005
Grandlist. We have 1350 parcels, 1100 of which have dwellings. The cost
for an outside appraiser will be $65/parcel. The Listers will be doing the
data entry. The total cost for the reappraisal with new computer and
software will be $155,900. We will need to raise $70,000. We will try to
do this in 2 years: $35,000 this year and the same the next. Our last
complete reappraisal was in 1991. We re-did our land schedule reappraised
all the land in 2000-2001 for the 2001 Grandlist to buy us some time. Last
year our CLA was 96.58% and COD 12.76, this year the CLA has already dropped
to 87.68% and the COD has risen to 13.92.
Hope this helps.
