A little after 5 this evening there were about 150 crows in the tall
black locust trees on Shelburne Road near Prospect Parkway. By
5:20 there were 350 making quite a ruckus greeting each other.
Around 5:30 they headed across Shelburne Road toward Pine
Street and about 10 minutes later I could see a large flock in the
distance heading north, probably between Pine St. and the lake. I
am interested to know how they choose where to meet.....they
haven't gathered here that I have seen since the 10th. I have seen
them up on Ledge Rd around 3:30 in the afternoon.......at the end
of last week. Perhaps it is the weather? and how does the word
get out?
There were so many on the Intervale last Saturday around 5 that I
had no idea how to number them. Also, there is no where to stop
nearby to get a better look. Jo Ann Lafayette Burlington
