This past Sunday I decided to walk along the Colchester Causeway and didn't
find much to look at other than ice.  Even with the aid of my spotting
scope, the open water was too far in the distance to put a positive ID on
the few gulls I found.  However, I did find two otters near the bridge over
the causeway.  There is a small section of open water directly under the
bridge and there were numerous tracks along the ice edge.  If you venture
out here, be sure to bring wind resistant clothing.
