The Dead Creek Red-bellied probably did nest, but confirmation was not
forthcoming last year as far as I know. The last email I received supplied
intriguing evidence that suggested the bird might be nesting. If anyone did
get irrefutable evidence of nesting, I'd like to know about it. I suspect
there has been scattered nesting in the central-southern Champlain Valley in
recent years.
