I had a Red-bellied Woodpecker at my suet feeder in North Pownal, VT. all
last winter. In the  summer I would hear him call from time to time. He
has a distinctive call.  This winter he hasn't returned to the feeder and
I thought he had vanished.  I spotted one in the yard for the last two
days. I hope he has returned. Previous to last year I had only spotted one
occasionally.
