It's funny how bird distributions work out. I don't know exactly
where Lin Garrepy lives in Whiting, but we are on the eastern side of
Shoreham, less than a mile from the Whiting line, and we have LOTS of tree
sparrows in our yard. They are probably the most prevalent birds at our
feeders this winter; we see more of them than we do chickadees.
We've had almost zero in the way of goldfinches and robins, yet we
see a lot of them about a quarter of a mile down the road. Quien sabe?
