Searching for ducks on the Winooski for the GBBC on Sat 2/15. Just below
the Essex Dam, 106 Mallards and 21 Amer. Blacks. Further down river, just
below Muddy Brook outlet, 6 Mallards, 16 Blacks, 6 Common Mergansers, and 2
Hooded Mergs. Pretty much the usual winter population for that area, where
the river is open all winter.
