Somehow the birds had me thinking spring this morning at the park.
30+ robins flitting around by the parking lot; 2 hairy wp, 2 pileated
wp, a male cardinal singing away, 3 nuthatches, 1 wb and I believe
2 red breasted but they moved away fast, tufted titmouse, lots of
chickadees, blue jays, 15 crows and a couple of pheasant type
birds that took off so fast, with a whir of wings, I couldn't identify
them. I have seen them before at the park but they are always
gone before I can see much. Does anyone have any idea what
they are? Maybe someone has seen them before at this park.
Anyway, there seemed to be more noise in the woods today even
though it was the usual locals. Saw some deer tracks also.
Then came the snowstorm!
