This afternoon, while scoping the back field and admiring the Canada Geese,
a Mallard couple and a few Ring-billed Gulls, I was afforded the chance to
see a master at work. I only watched the take down, and Heather watched
the poor gulls demise. The Falcon came along the edge of the field, scared
up the gulls, circled above them, then BLAM the gull was upside down with
the Falcon pushing it to its death. Once on the ground the Falcon
proceeded to pounce on it. I watched for about half an hour as the bird
went to work. I tried to get some pictures but didn't suceed. Just
watching it was rewarding, definately a moment to remember.
