About 3 this afternoon. Nearly broke my neck to look at it, braked to a
stop on Hwy 125 in the
Beaver Branch area in northern Cornwall as the bird flew not 20 feet away on
its way across the road. I got an excellent look even without binoculars:
first year juvenile, the beak hadn't started changing color yet, nor was
there yet any mottling on the chest. Best look I've had at a baldie since I
lived in the PacNW. Made my day.
