Hi. That could be my little pied-billed grebe!! I released him there a few
weeks ago since all other waterways were frozen then. He seemed to like it
there and liked hanging out with the ducks. I expected him to fly away to
green pastures <g>. Yesterday got in a huge male mallard from Mallett's Bay
with a very swollen, injured leg. He'll be in rehab for a while.  Warm

There was one little pied-billed grebe diving at the Coast Guard station in
Burlington yesterday afternoon. Also 6-8 very active DC cormorants that were
have good luck fishing.
