On walks yesterday and this morning in Newfane I found lots of hermits
(including many singing), a few chipping sparrows, a couple of singing
yellow-rumped warblers, and at least 20-30 sapsuckers - all drumming and
calling loudly. Still some evening grosbeaks flying over on their way
north, but all the fox sparrows have gone through.
