As Treasurer, I am by charter the collector of current and delinquent taxes.  As a member of the Board of Abatement, I do not recuse myself from any hearings, but I frequently vote no to most requests and most of the other members come to expect that.  I have brought instances to the board similar to the destroyed trailer and then will vote on the issue as if I were not the collector.
