You could build a simple database app and populate some tables with
data that allows users to search or sort in different ways. This may
aid in keeping the indices up-to-date.
Better yet, do that and give users an opportunity to allow their
downloads to be tracked, and thereafter receive email notification when
new version become available or old software (e.g., WS_FTP,
Voyager_FTP) is supplanted by new (sftp/ssh shell thingy).
Oh, yeah -- keep the "Download" buttons consistently on the left side.
I never see them on the right -- especially with a very wide window --
and keep clicking on the software Title on the left expecting something
