Sunday 8/3: There were two adult bonaparte's gulls on the strip of rocks off of
Blodgett beach along with an Herring and several ring-billed gulls. A couple of
killdeer and spotted sandpiper were also present.
Yesterday, one of the Red Rocks' Merlin visited my yard, remaining in the same
perch for about six hours. I couldn't tell if it was the female or one of the
juveniles. THe bird offered some wonderful views as it sat stretching and
preening at times.
