A juvenile Wilson's Phalarope was the feature attraction this morning (Thursday) at Brilyea.  It was present from about 7:30 until at least 9:00 a.m. when we left.  It was favoring the west shore of the impoundment but could be viewed quite well from the causeway just beyond the bridge.

Also present was a juvenile Stilt Sandpiper, a Pectoral Sandpiper and a Semipalmated Plover as well as a number of peep (no Baird's or White-rumped) and about 60 yellowlegs (mostly Lessers).  An adult Peregrine, seen along the entrance road as we drove in, fortunately flew off without causing a panic.

2000 Tree Swallows put on a great show along Slang Road in Panton as they swirled around and landed in large numbers on the road ahead of us.  About 5 Cliff Swallows were mixed in plus a few Banks.
