FRIDAY, 09/12/03:
Pied-billed Grebe (3), Great Blue Heron (9), Canada Goose (5), Wood Duck
(94), Gadwall (2), American Black Duck (4), Mallard (45), Northern Harrier (1),
Common Moorhen (1), Belted Kingfisher (4), Swamp Sparrow (1).
The wood duck were stunning in their newly acquired alternate plumage.  The
sleek moorhen, suited in gray with its neat little white kerchief, was
nonetheless impressive as were the more demure gadwalls in their browns and grays.
Also heard singing: three yellow-throated vireo and two warbling vireo.
