Ten species of warbler on Ward Hill this morning (September 6) including two new ones for the fall migration: (1) Tennessee Warbler (2) Nashville Warbler (6) Magnolia Warbler (5) Black-throated Green Warbler (4) Black-throated Blue Warbler (2) Blackburnian Warbler (4) Chestnut-sided Warbler (3) Common Yellowthroat (2) Wilson's Warbler (1) Canada Warbler
These birds were found during the course of a two-hour walk - so this was by no means a big flight. Took a lot of pishing and coaxing to get them in view. And still no thrushes (other than a robin or two) and no flycatchers (other than a single phoebe). Also, a couple of Red-eyed Vireos and one Blue-headed.
