Had an interesting discussion the other day with
someone who thought the same and had set up a
training center with 12 computers of the "same
model from the same vendor".
When he went to make "ghost" recover disks, he
found that there were two motherboards, two
disk drives, and other differences which required
making 3 separate ghostings !!!
Although this is ok for home use, this makes
a big mess in an "business" setting.
IBM tends to have less "variety"
Dell has a "business" (latitude) and a home
Not sure about HP/Compaq.
