Yesterday had the first Junco flock of the fall passing through, and a
Solitary Vireo in the garden. Osprey silhouetted against the perfect blue sky,
framed with maple color - what a glorious sight! Also Winter Wrens flitting
through the dead brush beside my dog walking trail. Monarchs moving south all day.

Shelagh Smith in Leicester (near Fern Lake).
