I checked SERHOLD for the numbers of libraries that hold each of these
journals. There are 688 libraries that hold Hepatology and 51 that hold
Liver Transplantation. This new subscription bundling appears to be a
blatant attempt to
increase the circulation of a journal which doesn't have a broad
readership. Both journals are official publications of
the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. Liver
transplantations are not performed here; Hepatology is used heavily in our
library, but we have never had to request an ILL for Liver Transplantation.
Perhaps complaints to
both Wiley and the AASLD would be helpful.
