Many thanks to the persons who responded with ideas and/or information
about their internally- or externally-accessible databases of faculty
publications. The responses are excerpted below.

I maintain the publications database for Eastern Virginia Medical School
using ISI software -- EndNote and Reference Web Poster. Take a look:
http://www.evms.edu/evmslib/ You'll find a link to Faculty Publications
on the right under Available to the Public. I communicated with Dottie
Hawthorne at Mayo when we were designing our Faculty Research Interests
Project http://frip.health.pitt.edu which uses MeSH terms extracted from
the PubMed-indexed publications of our faculty.
Our Faculty Publications database is a searchable, access database
designed by our staff. We have been compiling a faculty publications
database since the early 1990's for WFUBMC authored journal articles,
books and book chapters. We just recently added speeches and editorial
board information. http://www.wfubmc.edu/library/facpub.html
The Mayo Authors Database is mounted as private database on the OVID
system. We currently have 157,000+ citations in the database, including
articles, abstracts, books, book chapters, AV productions, electronic
published works. Our backbone for this project is Pro-Cite. We update
the database twice a month. It includes physicians, nurses, allied
health staff, administrative staff. We have recently added links to
full-text based on the licenses that we have for the journal/e-journal
collection. We are also moving toward providing e-text links for Mayo
produced textbooks. We offer a number of limit features, location,
department, publication type. It searches much like the Medline
database.
I do one for Children's Hospital Boston which is at:
http://www.childrenshospital.org/cfapps/Abstract/JabstractSearch.cfm
We have our faculty publications on a locally created ISI Web Poster
database http://lsuhsc-proteus.lsuhsc.edu/ris/risweb.isa faculty pubs
are separated by the publication years. Currently the ISI Web Poster is
on a "secure server" and can’t be accessed outside the university.
NYU's Ehrman Library sponsors a web-based database:
http://library.med.nyu.edu/library/eresources/faculty/bibliography.html
UCHC does have one -http://libdatabase.uchc.edu/publication/
We publish an annual Faculty Authors Bibliography covering faculty
publications during the past fiscal year. All the citations are put into
ProCite, downloaded into a Word document and the final edited version is
sent to the printer. We also put it on our homepage and hyperlink it.
You can see it by going to our homepage at http://library.nymc.edu/,
looking under What's New at the bottom of the page, and clicking on
Faculty Bibliography.
