I hate to ask this but here goes, please don't everyone jump on me at once.
Journal subscriptions are becoming so outrageous! We are a small not for profit facility and are having a hard time with these prices. Is there any way, or are there any journals that it's ok to house in a library if the journal is received by an employee as part of a society membership?, if the facility is paying the employee's membership dues? The way things are going I almost feel as though we won't have any journals next year (yes I'm being unnecessarily pessimistic, but we've had lots of squabbling over this, and no renewals are done yet!!) Please, any advise will help.

Please respond to me, not the list.

Thanks,

Joanne
