Here's how you change the network adapter priority in Windows:
Start Menu-->(Settings)-->Control Panel-->Network Connections-->Advanced
Drop Down Menu-->Advanced Settings
Raise the local area connection to the top of the list by selecting the
connection and clicking the Up Arrow.
This should allow use of the wired connection without having to disable
the wireless adapter.
