Bryan (Tinmouth) phoned this afternoon to report a brown thrasher at his
feeder today (and also yesterday) competing with the blue jays for a place at the
feeder. What was surprising to me was that it was apparently eating both
black oil sunflower seed and red millet.
My common redpoll flock has now grown in number to eight and came to the
feeder as an independent group.
