Gary Worthington and I discovered a winter wren at Pelots Point in North
Hero on December 15th during the Lake Champlain Islands CBC. Pelots
Point has recently been opened to public access and contains a network
of trails in deep cedar woods. The bird was skulking under the cedars,
but came quite close. It hung around for at least five minutes.
