Sorry for the delay.
The programs will be run on tyr, not mansfield. We made this decision since
tyr is the "CPU" server.
You're welcome to talk to help about updating software on tyr, but the CSSA
won't be requesting any upgrades. If you'd like to use software that is not
currently available you could install a copy within your home directory. The
program you submit could then use shared libraries and binaries from within
your local directory. The programs will be run as the cssa user, so some
attention needs to be paid to the permissions of locally installed software
and the environment so that your program can find those libraries. Is this
acceptable?
