Hello UVMers,
        I would like to remind everyone that SGA Presidential and Vice-Presidential
elections are right around the corner.  If you are interested in being the
vehicle for change and the representative of the entire student body consider
running for office.  Petition packets for both positions are available in the
SGA Offices now, grab a friend to run with or run by yourself, either way take
advantage of this great opportunity to be a leader on campus.  For more

fill some of its vacancies, if you are interested in applying for a Senate
appointment please visit the SGA Office.

Events and Varsity Athletics this week:
LUNCHBOX SESSIONS – Rail Jam Series every Wednesday in February from
11:30AM-2PM, behind Old Mill.
FRIDAY 2/13 – 5 PM: MEN'S TENNIS: vs. Hartford; 7 PM: WOMEN’S HOCKEY: vs.
Union.
SATURDAY 2/14 – 3 PM: MEN’S BASKETBALL: vs. BU, tickets are still available but
going extremely fast, be sure to pick up your tickets either at the Ticket
Office in Patrick Gym or at the SGA offices in the basement of Billings; 4 PM:
WOMEN’S HOCKEY: vs. Union; 5 PM: MEN'S TENNIS: vs. Fairleigh Dickinson.

Meet with President Fogel
President Daniel Mark Fogel cordially invites you to join him and your fellow
University of Vermont students for informal conversation and refreshments on
Thursday, February 12th, 2004 from 1-2 PM in Memorial Lounge, Waterman

Need something to do next year? Want to teach?
Teach for America is an organization that can give you the extra edge you need
to prepare for a career.  The program is typically 2 years and places you in
rural or urban schools to teach.  The deadline for applications is February

Want to be on stage?
AUDITIONS for the UVM one-act festival.  All 15 shows are student directed by
seniors and there's no experience necessary!  Auditions are Saturday, Feb. 14
from 11 AM-4 PM and Sunday, Feb. 15 from 12-5 PM at 114 University Heights
(located on East Campus).  Sign up for an audition time at the Royall Tyler
Theatre call board - no preparation for auditions needed.  It's a great chance

UVM Ski Team
After a second place finish at the UVM Carnival last weekend the UVM Ski Team
will be looking to win at the Dartmouth Carnival this coming Friday and
Saturday (13th and 14th).  If you are interested in going to support the team
(and maybe get a day of skiing in too) check out

Need to find a place to live next semester?
Come check out the annual Tenant Fair sponsored by the Committee on Legislative
Action (COLA) of the Student Government Association.  The fair will be February
25th from 1-3 PM in Memorial Lounge, Waterman.  There will be many property
owners present at the fair as well as members of Burlington community to answer
questions about code enforcement, transportation and much more.  Come find an
apartment, meet some property owners and have a snack.  For more information

Translating Identity Conference
The second annual Translating Identity Conference sponsored by the Office of the
President and Free2Be will be held on February 28th at UVM.  You must register
to participate in the event (which is free of cost), to register please visit
