Subject: Nominate a Deserving Youth!

The Children and Family Council for Prevention Programs (CFCPP) is sending you the enclosed announcement and nominee form for the William E. Mikell "Spirit of Youth" Award for your assistance in nominating a deserving young adult.

To be eligible, the nominee must meet each of the following criteria. The nominee must be: under the age of 24 years; not a member of the Children and Family Council for Prevention Programs; a person who was involved in the juvenile justice system as a youth; currently involved, directly or indirectly, in improving the lives of at-risk youth and a Vermont resident. Last year one young person received this award.

The timeline for the submission of the nomination is April 1, 2004. Please take a few minutes to review the announcement and perhaps nominate a young person for this award. Please feel free to share this announcement with colleagues who work with youth and may also have a young person to nominate. We apologize if you receive this notice twice, as you may be on more than one distribution list.

If you have questions about the award, you can contact Cassie Isabelle @ 241-1436 or Christine Johnson @ 241-4414.

Sincerely,

Cassie Isabelle Christine Johnson
