hi folks,
I'de love to contribute resources to help earthday organization stuff, but can
never attend the Tuesday night meetings especially since the free to the public
energy seminar is held every Tuesday night. So, is there any possible chance to
not have the earthday people meet every single Tuesday night @7pm?????
Also, could some of you be so kind as to distribute the following information
to
the VSTEP, SEEDS, SPROUTS, and CEL listserves:

1)

If perhaps any of you may be interested in attending some environmental
political activism, lobbying key leaders, educational outreach, networking, and
job/interning opportunities, here's the schedule of the VT Energy Seminar
Series held @ The Old Mill in the John Dewey Lounge:

TUESDAY 6:30pm March 23 :"Vermont's Energy Future" speaker Mayor Peter Clavelle
TUESDAY 6:30pm March 30 :"Vermont's Energy Future; A Business Perspective"
speakers Lisa Ventriss of VT Business Roundtable & Steve Terry of Green
Mountain Power
TUESDAY 6:30pm April 6 :"Vermont's Energy Future; An Environmental Perspective"
speaker Mark Sinclair of The Conservation Law Foundation
TUESDAY 6:30pm April 13 :"Vermont's Energy Future; The States Perspectives"
speaker David O'Brien of VT Dept. of Public Service
TUESDAY 6:30pm April 20 :"Vermont's Energy Future" speaker Michael Dworkin
Chairman of the Public Service Board

2)See www.energyaction.net &/or www.fossilfools.org
Next Thursay April 1st, 2004 is National Student Day of Action for Clean Energy
Solutions. aka Fossil Fools Day of Action
Our goals is to recruit 120 schools
> So, this April Fools Day, Make a Fool of Fossil Fuels!
> Do you have an action plan yet????
If not, see what other schools are doing nationwide and join in. It's that
simple.

The possibilities are infinite.
1 idea: Stage a political event durring Neighborhood Night of Success at
Contois
Auditorium in City Hall (across from Red Onion on lower Church St.) on APRIL
1,from 5:30-7:30 PM. The event will include (FREE!) dinner and dessert,
kids'activities, musical performances by Burlington High School's Choir and
Jazz
Band, and of course an awards ceremony.
Perhaps we can set up a table or distribute educational material on the
benefits
of wind & solar clean renewable energy especially since less than 1% of
Vermont's energy comes from such sustainable sources. Does anyone have any
ideas that may have an impact?????????
The Campaign I'm working for can supply free resources to any participants of
this Day of Action such as free supplies, grant$$$$$, free trainings, access to
a media database to get coverage of the wonderful efforts you make,
job/internship opportunities, networking atvantages, all legislative actions
you can contribute to and plenty of other super goodies. This Day of Action
surely can open doors to further your professionalism as an environmentalist.
Please feel free to contact me anytime to contribute any ideas and access these
atvantages.
