Last night I could hear a Snipe in the distance near Beaver Creek, south of

I just saw my first warblers at home in Shelburne for this year: 3
and overhead saw a Great Blue Heron, also first time this year for the yard.
On Tuesday afternoon, saw a Greater Yellowlegs in Beaver Creek, at Bishop
Road, near my place. That is the first time for that bird in the 6 years I
have been here. There are not usually any shorebirds there.
On Monday afternoon at Ethan Allen Homestead got to see my first E. Towhee
for the year, as well as a B. Kingfisher.
On Sunday afternoon, the 25th, a nice surprise to see the first ever
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher for my yard list.
I am hopeful that Scott's Short-eared owl will head just a little bit
further south, and check out some nice fields we have here..
