Thanks for the answer. I'm glad everything will be working together soon. I
have found eBird to be a great resource, and would urge everyone to
participate as the more people who do, the better it gets. I only wish I had
found it six months ago before I accidentally threw out my old lists.

Good question and nice catch! The IT team has been working on this
issue. The two are in a large relational database. There has been a
technical problem with the query language that allows the two tables to
communicate properly in the database. The IT folks have been working on
this and should have it solved by the end of the month. So the answer is -
you can enter data in either portal (eBird North America or Vermont
eBird). All queries for data will be seamless very soon.
