On a fishing trip to Sandbar, I was greeted at the parking area by an immature Bald Eagle and several scaup. In the flooded
woods along the road, virtually every species of duck could be found. I think pintails were the only one I could think of
that I did not see. I was fishing, not birding, but noted the following in the backwater or in the open water on the drive
out and back along Route 2.
American Coots (a bird I often miss in some years)
Gadwall (How did this duck get its name?)
Oddly, no Canada Geese
