Hi all,

I hope your studying is going well. I will not be here to check e-mail
tonight, so if any questions get posted to the listserv, please help
each other out!

Allan (and all), for questions 14-17 on last fall's final, remember that
if the y-axis is arithmetic, you won't be able to tell whether
population growth is exponential or not. With a logarithmic y-axis,
exponential growth appears as a straight line. So 14 is (c). Since even
on a logarithmic y-axis the population trajectory is curving up in 15,
you should choose (b), super-exponential. 16 looks like stochastic to
me, and 17 density-dependent; (you wouldn't call it logistic because of
the fluctuations -- but that's a technicality I didn't emphasize this
semester.)

Speaking of didn't cover this semester, don't worry about 26 (correct
answer (a))

The correct answer to 27 was (c), for 34: (a), and for 48: (b).

Finally, it was requested that I post some more practice exams. Here are
the two hour exams from last fall; just remember that I emphasized some
things last fall that I didn't cover this spring.

Stay relaxed and learn lots!
