Hi all -
There are two important documents posted for review at:
http://www.state.vt.us/educ/new/html/pgm_edtech/state_plan.html
The first document is a draft of the Vermont Educational Technology Plan. This draft was reviewed by the State Board of Education on May 18th. A final version of the plan will be brought to the Board for their acceptance on June 9th. We have been fortunate to have so much interest in this plan from educators in Vermont. Not only have dozens of individuals become involved in creating the plan, scores of others contributed through the ILN sessions held last fall.
The second document is a draft of the instructions and template for local planning. This template is based on the transtional technology plan completed by most Vermont schools two years ago. NOTE several changes: Supervisory unions will be able to submit a plan for all schools in the SU, but only if certain conditions are met. In addition, the due date for plan submission is different for schools that will apply for E-Rate subsidies than for schools that will not participate in E-Rate.
Your comments on both drafts are appreciated.
