The morning bird walk on Mt Independence produced 35 species. The day
was highlighted by the viewing of SCARLET TANAGERS and a BLACK BILLED
CUCKOO. Many OVENBIRDS and RED-EYED VIREOS plus numerous GREAT CRESTED
FLYCATCHERS were heard.
The wind and the cold kept other warbler species quiet but we did see
BLACK & WHITE WARBLER.
