The trail around Lefferts Pond was a bit soggy
yesterday, but we managed to escape the rain.
There were several "pockets" of warblers
including blackpoll, magnolia, chestnut-sided,
black-throated green, black-throated blue,
American redstart, northern waterthrush,
yellow-rumped, black-and-white, yellow warbler
and common yellowthroat. Counted 13 ovenbirds
along the trail.
Three ring-necked ducks were present on the pond
- two males and one female.
We also saw an eastern wood-pewee and heard alder
flycatchers and least flycatchers.
